How to enable Xp Task Manager-Three different ways

When you try to open Windows Task Manager, by pressing CTRL+ALT+DEL the following error often

appear:

“Task Manager has been disabled by your administrator“

Enable Task Manager in three ways

(i) Click Start - Run and type regedit and hit Enter.

Search for HKEY_CURRENT_USER -> Software \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Policies \

System.

Look for: DisableTaskMgr. Click on REG_DWORD. Value: 1=Enable this key (disables TaskManager);

Value: 0=Disable (actually enables TaskManager)

Close RegEdit

Reboot your machine.

(ii) If you cannot understand the first way follow the following,

Click Start
Click Run
Enter gpedit.msc in the Open box and click OK
In the Group Policy settings window
Select User Configuration
Select Administrative Templates
Select System
Select Ctrl+Alt+Delete options
Select Remove Task Manager
Double-click the Remove Task Manager option
In the setting tab, select the Enable radio button and apply

(iii)

Due to virus if the upper two ways not work, you can download software from

http://www.recoverdatatools.com/tools/TaskManagerFix.exe

Goto the given address and download Task Manager Enabler. After opening it check the "Enable Task

Manager" option and apply it.
